Willpower breaks down when your environment and body, your emotional life, plus your spiritual life are pulling in different directions. This reset works across all four. You will make small changes, notice what they reveal, and build a simple rule for what gets your attention next.
"The goal is not to escape technology. The goal is to choose what gets your mind, your time, and your life."
01 / Check-in
Mark what has been true lately. There is no score to win.
02 / The map
When one system is strained, the others compensate. The five-day reset gives each system a turn.
Reduce the noise and make distraction less convenient.
Use daylight and movement. Support steadiness with regular meals, sufficient sleep, plus unhurried breathing.
Name the trigger, interrupt the loop, and choose the next response.
Return to prayer and stillness. Take one faithful action.
Before day one
Put a notebook and pen where you will see them in the morning.
Choose one place where your phone will rest when you are not using it.
Tell one trusted man you are doing the reset. Ask him to check in on day five.
Name the source of noise that steals the most from you right now.
03 / The reset
Do not race ahead. Finish the day's practice, write what you noticed, then leave it alone.
Environment + input
You cannot protect your attention from a pattern you refuse to name.
Body
Clarity returns more easily when your body is not bracing against the day.
Mind + emotion
The urge to scroll, snack, shop, or numb is often carrying a message.
Spirit + mission
Silence creates room to hear what hurry keeps covering up.
Integration
A reset matters only if you know what you will protect after it ends.
04 / Keep the signal
The goal is not perfect abstinence. The goal is authority over what gets your attention.
A field note from Dr. K
You were not made to spend your life reacting to every alert and headline, then every appetite. Take the quiet seriously. Let your body settle. Return to your Creator. Then build the thing you already know is yours to build.
